    I met Dave Ramsey. Twice. But I suppose the second time you see someone it’s not meeting them again, so maybe he’s an acquaintance now. I thought about just ending it there, no more needed to be said, but actually a lot needs to be said.     I met my husband at a bar.

    I didn’t think that was going to happen.  It all started when Chad finally thought about hanging out with me on NYE, 14 years ago. I was house sitting & dog sitting for my parents as they were out in California for the Pasadena Parade. My graduate school friends all left for the winter break, so I decided to make the most of it in my parents living room.     A Grand Adventure

    Recently my husband and I traveled down to Amelia Island, Florida for the longest trip we’ve ever been on. Growing up, my family didn’t take any long vacations, maybe a week to go somewhere in the summer, but that was about it. So in my whole entire life, this was the longest I’ve been away from home. I. Loved. It. Okay, I was sad to be missing the kids, but I know to enjoy time without the kids when they are gone and enjoy time with the kids when I am with them.     10 year ago, I miscarried.

    (Trigger warning- potential graphic descriptions of miscarrying) 10 years ago we celebrated our first Thanksgiving with our baby girl. Our baby girl who was nearly 4 months old. It was a great day! We celebrated with family and had an awesome time. After cleaning up for the day, I climbed the stairs to go to the bathroom.  I remember feeling very relieved that the day went well, I was a little tired, but happy.  I went to the bathroom.
